About Vanicha:

Vanicha is a dedicated and compassionate psychodynamic counsellor with a passion for helping children, young people (from 12 years old onwards), and adults navigate through life’s challenges. With experience in both face-to-face and online counselling settings, Vanicha adopts a client-centred approach, tailoring therapy to meet the unique needs and developmental stages of each individual.

Psychodynamic Counselling:

Psychodynamic counselling is an approach rooted in the belief that our present behaviours, thoughts, and emotions are deeply influenced by our past experiences, particularly those from childhood. This therapy focuses on exploring unconscious processes and unresolved conflicts to gain insight into current difficulties and foster personal growth. By delving into these underlying dynamics, individuals can better understand themselves and develop healthier coping mechanisms.

Working with Children and Young People (12 years old onwards):

Vanicha understands the complexities of adolescence and the challenges young people face as they navigate through the transitional phase into adulthood. In her work with children and young people, she creates a safe and nurturing environment where they feel comfortable expressing themselves. Through age-appropriate techniques Vanicha helps young clients explore their emotions, build self-esteem, and develop effective coping strategies to manage stress, anxiety, depression, and other issues common during this developmental stage.

Working with Adults:

For adult clients, Vanicha provides a supportive space for self-exploration and introspection. Drawing from psychodynamic principles, she assists individuals in examining how past experiences continue to influence their present relationships, behaviours, and patterns of thinking. Through open dialogue and exploration, Vanicha guides clients in uncovering unconscious conflicts, gaining insight, and fostering personal growth. She addresses a wide range of issues, including relationship difficulties, trauma, grief, self-esteem issues, and life transitions.

Experience with a Variety of Client Presentations:

Vanicha has experience working with diverse client presentations, including:

  • Anxiety and Depression
  • Trauma and PTSD
  • Self-esteem Issues
  • Exploration of Gender and Sexuality
  • Bereavement and Loss
  • Relationship Challenges, including Abuse
  • Anger Management
  • Stress (Workplace and Personal)
  • Student Counselling

Vanicha approaches each client with empathy, understanding, and non-judgment, providing a safe and supportive space for exploration and healing. Through collaborative efforts, she assists clients in developing coping strategies, enhancing self-awareness, and fostering resilience to overcome obstacles and lead fulfilling lives.

Online and Face-to-Face Counselling:

Vanicha offers both online and face-to-face counselling sessions to accommodate the diverse needs and preferences of her clients. In face-to-face sessions, clients can benefit from the interpersonal connection and non-verbal cues that enhance the therapeutic process. Alternatively, online counselling provides convenience and accessibility, allowing clients to engage in therapy from the comfort of their own environment. Vanicha ensures that regardless of the modality, the therapeutic relationship remains central, fostering a safe and trusting space for healing and growth.

Overall, Vanicha is committed to empowering her clients to overcome obstacles, develop resilience, and lead fulfilling lives. Through her empathetic approach and understanding of psychodynamic principles, she facilitates transformative journeys towards self-discovery and emotional well-being.
