Lisa is a qualified and highly experienced counsellor and counselling supervisor dedicated to supporting clients through life’s challenges. With a tailored approach that recognises each client’s individuality, Lisa adapts her training and experience to meet the specific needs of those she works with. She is also undergone further training in Rewind Therapy, and is currently training in EMDR, continually enhancing her skill set to offer the best possible care.

Lisa provides counselling in a tranquil, outdoor office environment, offering clients the freedom to express themselves openly and honestly. For added flexibility, she also conducts sessions via telephone or video call. Her empathetic and collaborative approach allows clients to explore their challenges and work towards a more positive and fulfilling future.

Recognising that the decision to seek counselling can feel overwhelming, Lisa ensures clients feel supported from the outset. While friends and family can offer valuable support, Lisa understands that clients often hold back to protect loved ones or themselves. Her counselling provides a safe, confidential space where clients can freely explore their emotions, process their experiences, and find their own answers.

In addition to her private practice, Lisa draws on her background in the care sector to support several local care agencies, offering counselling to their staff.

Lisa has a vast amount of experience working with Autism, ASD and ADHD. Lisa has a vast interest in womens health, Peri Menopause, menopause and PMDD

What to Expect When Working with Lisa

In the initial session, Lisa takes the time to understand the client’s circumstances fully. This includes exploring their timeline of events, emotional experiences, and the impact these challenges have had on their lives. By understanding whether these feelings connect to past or childhood experiences, Lisa builds a foundation of trust and safety, ensuring clients feel comfortable opening up.

Subsequent sessions focus on breaking down concerns into manageable parts, allowing for collaborative and targeted progress.

Lisa’s Specialist Areas of Focus

Neuro-divergency (Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD)
Lisa has significant experience supporting clients with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, and related challenges. Her previous roles in the care sector have given her a deep understanding of these conditions and the ability to provide focused support. Lisa also works with the partners of individuals who are neuro-divergent, helping them navigate a variety of challenges and better understand the emotional needs of their loved ones.

Bereavement and Loss
Lisa has a deep passion for bereavement counselling. She supports clients in navigating the grief cycle, understanding that grief and loss can extend beyond bereavement to include relationship breakdowns, loss of self, and unfulfilled future plans.
