Qualifications and Professional Memberships: Daniel holds a Master’s degree in Person-Centered Experiential Counselling and Psychotherapy Practice. He is a dedicated member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP), adhering to the highest professional standards and ethical guidelines. Daniel is currently based in London but brings a wealth of international experience to his practice, having worked with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds worldwide.

Person-Centered Approach (PCA): The Person-Centered Approach (PCA), also known as Client-Centered Therapy, is a form of talk therapy developed by Carl Rogers in the 1940s and 1950s. This approach is based on the belief that every individual has the innate ability to achieve their full potential and find solutions to their own problems, given the right environment.

Core Principles of PCA:

  • Unconditional Positive Regard: Daniel provides a non-judgemental, accepting, and supportive environment where clients feel valued and respected, regardless of their thoughts, feelings, or behaviours. This acceptance helps clients feel safe to explore their inner experiences without fear of rejection or criticism.
  • Empathy: Daniel strives to understand clients’ experiences and feelings from their own perspective. By deeply empathising with clients, he can mirror their emotions and experiences, helping them gain greater self-awareness and understanding.
  • Congruence: Daniel is genuine and transparent with clients. He ensures that his external behaviour matches his internal feelings and thoughts. This authenticity fosters trust and encourages clients to be open and honest in their therapeutic journey.

Conditions PCA Can Help With: The Person-Centered Approach is highly versatile and can be beneficial for a wide range of mental health and wellbeing issues, including but not limited to:

  • Anxiety: By providing a safe and supportive environment, PCA helps clients explore and understand their anxiety, identify its root causes, and develop coping strategies.
  • Depression: The empathetic and non-judgemental stance of PCA allows clients to express their feelings of sadness and hopelessness, facilitating a process of self-acceptance and healing.
  • Self-Esteem and Self-Confidence Issues: PCA supports clients in recognising their inherent worth and strengths, fostering greater self-acceptance and confidence.
  • Stress Management: By exploring the sources of stress and clients’ responses to it, PCA helps in developing effective stress management techniques.
  • Relationship Issues: PCA can help clients understand their relational patterns and improve communication and connection with others.
  • Grief and Loss: The supportive environment of PCA helps clients process and cope with feelings of grief and loss.
  • Trauma: PCA allows clients to explore traumatic experiences in a safe and empathetic setting, aiding in the healing process.

Daniel’s practice is firmly rooted in the principles of the Person-Centered Approach, ensuring that each client receives compassionate, empathetic, and personalised care. His extensive training and international experience make him a versatile and effective counsellor, capable of addressing a wide array of mental health, relational and wellbeing challenges.
