Working with Children and Young People

Lucy has significant experience working with children and young people, utilising her expertise as an art therapist to help them navigate their emotional and psychological challenges. Her expertise within CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services) has equipped her with the skills to address a range of issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, behavioural problems, and developmental disorders. She provides a safe and nurturing environment through creative and expressive therapies where young clients can explore their feelings and experiences. Lucy’s empathetic approach fosters trust and helps young people develop coping mechanisms and resilience.

Working with Adults

Lucy employs a holistic and client-centred approach in her work with adults, integrating art therapy to facilitate self-expression and personal growth where appropriate. She draws on her extensive experience in both organisational settings and private practice to address various mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, grief, relationship issues, and life transitions. Lucy tailors her therapeutic techniques to each individual, creating a supportive space for clients to explore their emotions, understand their behaviours, and work towards their personal goals. Her compassionate and professional demeanour ensures that adults receive the care and guidance they need to improve their mental well-being.

Counselling Supervisor

As an experienced counselling supervisor, Lucy plays a crucial role in the professional development of other therapists. She supervises new and seasoned practitioners, providing them with the support and insight necessary to enhance their therapeutic skills. Drawing on her rich background and comprehensive understanding of various therapeutic modalities, Lucy guides her supervisees through complex cases, ethical dilemmas, and professional challenges. Her supervision covers a wide range of presentations, including anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, and relationship issues. Lucy’s supervision ensures that therapists maintain high standards of practice, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the mental health field.
