Paule is an experienced therapeutic counsellor. Her practice is predominantly person-centred but she has additional training in other modalities such as  Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Transactional Analysis and Gestalt therapy. Her versatile skill set enables her to offer tailored therapeutic approaches to diverse clients, encompassing children, young people, and adults.

Paule holds a degree in Psychology, which provides a strong foundation for understanding human behaviour and mental processes. Additionally, she has a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE), reflecting her many years as a teacher. This combination of qualifications has endowed her with a unique perspective and extensive experience working with individuals from varied ages, backgrounds and needs.

 

Work with Children and Young People

Paule’s expertise in working with children and young people is extensive and multifaceted. Her educational background and therapeutic training allow her to connect with younger clients empathetically and effectively.

She understands the unique challenges faced by this age group, such as academic pressure, social anxiety, and developmental changes.

Children and young people working with Paule benefit from her person-centred approach, which prioritises their experiences and emotions. Paule has significant experience in supporting young people from the LGBTQIA+ community, those with Learning difficulties, and those with neurodiverse conditions such as ADHD and ASD.

She is adept at creating inclusive and supportive spaces that acknowledge and respect each young person’s unique identity and needs.

Her experience also extends to working with refugees, where she provides a compassionate space for them to process their experiences and adapt to new environments. Her sessions are tailored to address trauma, cultural adjustment, and the rebuilding of self-esteem and confidence.

Paule brings the same level of dedication and adaptability in her work with adults.
