One to One Counselling
There are occasions when family and friends can no longer support you. Maybe you have been left feeling completely isolated. You can be filled with feelings of fear and anxiety. Uncertainty can impact your thoughts and behaviours – resulting in a sense of agitation. Maybe you notice your anxiety elevating your depression – or you are constantly fatigued. This may impact your relationships and your ability to concentrate at work. You may feel you have reached a crisis point. The crisis point can trigger unhealthy responses, and you can experience distress. This, in turn, can lead to a raft of unhealthy short-term fixes, such as an unhealthy relationship with food, increased alcohol dependency, substance misuse, gambling, and excessive spending, to name but a few. The fixes are short-term and can lead to an overall feeling of hopelessness and shame.
Regardless of age, gender or financial position, each of us will be presented with life challenges that can often be overwhelming. If any of this resonates with you, Nicola can offer an empathic and highly experienced approach to support you.
Couples Counsellor
Nicola is a highly sought-after Relationship and Couples Counsellor with experience with wide-ranging presentations.
Over two decades of working in social care and qualifying as a counsellor in 2008 has given Nicola huge experiences of a wide range of issues that can impact our relationships. So whether you are struggling to communicate, lacking in intimacy, struggling with infidelity or being subject to domestic abuse, Nicola has the experience to support you.
It doesn’t matter if you’re alone, married, living together, single, gay, bisexual, straight or transgender. As a highly experienced relationship therapist, Nicola is waiting to help. Nicola also has experience of working with various forms of neurodiversity such as ADHD and Autism.
She is passionate about allowing people a voice whilst offering them autonomy and empathy within the safety of a therapeutic relationship.
